HBO Latino Launches 'Capadocia'

Thank God!! If the first episode is a good indicator for the series, then we have a winner!

Last night I went to a screening in NYC of the first episode of "Capadocia" . The acting and the plot were very good. I must say this series is pretty hardcore.

"Capadocia" is set in a fictional women's prison in Mexico City. Corruption runs rampant as prison rights attorney Teresa Lagos (Dolores Heredia) fights for a humane rehabilitation program, while corporate Federico Marquez (Juan Manuel Bernal) schemes to privatize the prison and use the women as cheap manual labor.

Ana de la Reguera (Lorena Guerra) and Juan Manuel Bernal (Federico Marquez), stars of the new series, were in attendance last night. Might I just add both very nice y muy humilde; both characteristics that make celebrity sightings pleasant. Also supporting Latinos last night was Celines Toribio (upcoming movie Tropico de Sangre).

Si tienes HBO, no te pierdas a "Capadocia". Wednesday, September 10 at 9pm. "Capadocia" will air in Spanish every Wednesday through December 3 and on HBO On Demand with English subtitles (the subtitles are very distracting, but what are we going to do, subtitles attract a larger audience).
